The aims of the AAC
The aim of the AURAK Alumni Club (AAC) is to strengthen the ties between alumni, the community, and the American University of Ras Al Khaimah (AURAK). The AAC supports the university and its students by offering opportunities for strong alumni engagement, taking part in university activities, building a sense of community and pride among alumni, and strengthening the student-alumni relationship.
Who can join?
Membership: All AURAK graduates only.
General Body: The general body of the AAC consists of all voting members that form the supreme body of the Club.
Honorary Members: A person or establishment that offers or has the potential to offer an outstanding service or interest that may benefit the alumni of the American University of Ras Al Khaimah shall be eligible to become an honorary member after being proposed by the AAC Advisor and approved by the general body of the AAC. Any establishment that chooses to attend any of the meetings shall have only one vote regardless of the number of its representatives.
AAC Executive Members
The President is the Chief Executive of the general body, with the AAC Vice President as the Assistant Chief Executive. The secretary is in charge of the AAC records, and the treasurer will handle the finances. The public relations offices will help in outreach activity.
Amal Zaid Naser
Graduated from AURAK in 2017 with a Master degree in Education: Educational Leadership. She started her career as an English teacher at Majd Model School For Boy’s before serving as the School Vice Principal at Majd Model School For Boy’s. As the AAC President, Amal represents AURAK in the AURAK community. She has several planned initiatives for AURAK alumni to enhance AURAK global competitiveness.
AAC Vice President
Graduated from AURAK in 2020 with a Bachelor degree in Architecture.
He started his career as a trainee at engineering consultancy office before moving to Denholm Yam Contracting Company LLC as a junior architect. Mohab is looking forward to pursuing a Master degree in Architecture and to enhancing the life quality of the community.
Graduated from AURAK in 2014 with a BSc. in Electronics and Communication Engineering. He has been involved in several different entities, and brings variety of experiences from sectors which include private, government, media, sports, non-profit and educational entities. He currently launched a startup focusing on education. As an Alumni Club Treasurer, he is looking forward to bring forth and support several initiatives and projects which would help benefit the AURAK Alumni and AURAK community in general. He also looks forward to supporting the achievement of the UAE vision 2021.
Graduated from AURAK in 2015 with a Master degree in Education: Educational Leadership. He has more than 20 years of experience in teaching English Language in the public schools in the UAE. As the AURAK Alumni Club PRO, he is looking forward to organizing and supporting the AAC events and programs.
Graduated from AURAK in 2019 with a Bachelor degree of Science in Cell and Molecular Biotechnology. Currently, she is working at Gulf Pharmaceutical Industries in the Quality Control Department. As the Alumni Club Secretary, she looks forward to supporting the whole team with her creative skills.
