Hana Saeed Al Shehhi
Master of Education in Educational Leadership
My name is Hana Saeed Al Shehhi. I graduated from AURAK in 2017 with a Master degree of Education in Educational Leadership, rating excellent, and I hold a Bachelor degree in English Language from HCT, RAK.
Currently, I am a teacher of English Language at Al Ghub Public School for Girls (cycle 2), RAK, where I teach grade six (6) and seven (7). I enjoy working with my students and colleagues, and I frequently apply the knowledge I gained from the MEEL program in the areas that need improvement in my school.
I can say that participating in the Mini United Nation Conference in London in 2017 is one of my proudest achievements, where I was selected by the Ministry of Education (MOE) to accompany 20 students from my school to travel for the two-week program. The students and I had a memorable time and experience there.
My family, classmates and MEEL program instructors had a significant impact in supporting me during my study, especially while I was conducting my research and writing my thesis.
Studying at AURAK supported me to reexamine everything, set new objectives for my life, apply for leadership positions and the most important thing, pursue my postgraduate study.
Atif Mohammad Al Kadri
Master of Education in Educational Leadership (MEEL)
My name is Atif Mohammad Al Kadri. I graduated from AURAK with a Master of Education in Educational Leadership (MEEL) in 2017. I also hold a Bachelor degree in Arabic and Islamic studies from Imam Muhammad ibn Saud Islamic University, KSA.
I am currently the Lead Principal of Al Rams Public Schools District at the Ministry of Education in the United Arab Emirates. I manage six public schools in Ras Al Khaimah. I have had a long and fruitful career so far, and my education at AURAK has been a part of my success. I have more than 26 years of experience in teaching and learning and school management and leadership in the UAE.
In additions, I have served as facilitator and coach for professional development programs for RAK educators at the Sheikh Saud Bin Saqr Al Qassimi Foundation for Policy Research, for the past ten years. I have coached many PD programs, such as “Academic Leadership, part 1, 2 & 3”, “ 21st Century Leadership”, “ Fundamental of Leadership for Teachers” and “Professionalism in Teaching in the Light of Brain Research”, a task that connects with many educators, and where I have used skills learned in MEEL and elsewhere to develop the course book curricula, run and lead the training programs effectively. My coaching and mentoring in these programs is something I consider one of my greatest achievements.
The MEEL program has supported me to improve my leadership and coaching skills, and enhance my research skills, specifically in the fields that are closest to my heart and my life – school and education reform in the UAE.

Executive MBA
I’m 42 years old and work as a manager dealing with fixed access development in telecommunications.
I graduated from AURAK with an Executive MBA. My studies were enjoyable and I’ll always value and hold dear to my heart the accessibility and willingness to help of the faculty and alumni.
My proudest achievements were taking part in many tasks and passing my modules with excellent grades. What I learned at AURAK has helped me manage two established family businesses.
The person who had the most influence on me at AURAK was Dr. Zafar, who taught me marketing.
Pursue your dreams with the guidance of the faculty. This will position you as a suitable person to undertake challenging roles that will enable you to contribute and add value.
Thoraya Mohamad
Master in Business Administration
I didn’t fully realize what an impact great networking can have on a career, and being part of AURAK can really help here. I’m an MBA graduate with finance specialization.
Finding a career that’s fulfilling, making sure it’s meaningful and you’re passionate about it, trying to do your best, will lead to success. Numbers were always exciting for me, so I’m currently working as an accountant at AURAK. I’m also a volunteer, passionate reader and writer.
Lots of things make me proud. At school, being in first place from grade 2 made me proud. After school, when I left RAK Foundation for Holy Quran and Its Science when more than 80% of my students were able to read “Tajweed” with good intonation. Also, the moment I started my home business. Recently, getting an MBA and becoming the first Master’s graduate in my family. Finally, getting an exemption for the ACCA certificate.

I was born in Sudan and have lived in the UAE for over 20 years. I work for Grant Thornton UAE as an Advisory Manager and the Global Deputy Head of Islamic Finance. I oversee a portfolio of Financial Services and Government clients. On a professional level, my biggest achievement is successfully completing a national-level project with a leading regulator around Islamic Finance and prudential frameworks.
I’ve been blessed with an outstanding support system. My beloved wife, parents, siblings, in-laws and friends who supported me throughout the journey and my colleague Samer Hijazi who I consider a mentor.
AURAK has been nothing short of a memorable journey academically and personally, lifetime lessons and friendships that I will always cherish. The city of Ras Al Khaimah continues to be home away from home, due to the unforgettable journey at AURAK.

BS in Business Administration
“All you need is passion. If you have a passion for something, you’ll create the talent. So do it with passion or not at all.”
Business administration is a challenging program that opened up dozens of career paths for me. It was the changing point in my life to continue on a different major from my bachelor’s degree in media.
I work in the Human Resources Department of RAK Government as an Organizational Development Specialist. Some of my proudest achievements have been winning the medal for best employee specialist in the RAK Government, and being chosen as one of the top ten innovative employees in the RAK Government.
The encouragement of my family and friends is the most influential thing in my life. At AURAK, there were some special teachers and close friends who helped me understand the business world and ways of studying. I developed new skills like planning and analysis that allow me to perform my job very well.
Khulood Alhebsi
Master in Business Administration
Founder & CEO of HEXA 7 for IT Consulting & Services. After 4 years from working at IT field, I have decided to complete my MBA study to move my career to the next level as entrepreneur focusing on providing unlimited number of services and consultancies in IT for SME and individuals as it’s among the fastest growing industry. Throughout my educational journey in AURAK, I was looking for my core values that are necessary for the upcoming stage. I found my self in a team-oriented environment and exceptionally passionate colleagues. I’ve inherited valuable knowledge in Business Administration that guided me to start up my company. My appreciation and gratitude to all AURAK faculty and staff for the wonderful educational experience and their support.
Messer Al Dosh
BS in Finance
Business is my real passion. I graduated four years ago with degree in finance. Making the right decision was a great challenge for me, so now I help students who are in my shoes to make the best decision of their life, “what they want to study in the future”, Since I work as admissions counselor at American University of Ras Al Khaimah and I enjoy consulting and advising high school students to determine what they will be in the future.
Passing all my modules with decent grades and graduating in 2016 is the proudest accomplishment of my life. Last but not least, Do what you love, and love what you do. Choose the path not because others force you to but because your heart desires to do so. Do not expect everything to be offered to you on a silver platter. You will have to study and work hard on your networking in order to show that you are the one who deserves further opportunities. Messer Dosh
Fedaa Dheisat
Master in Business Administration
I graduated with an Executive Master in Business Administration from AURAK in 2018. My Bachelor degree was in Telecommunication Engineering.
Engineering and business may sound like two distinct specializations, but when one looks more closely the overlaps become more obvious. Both engineers and business leaders want to achieve efficiency, and both have an eye for creative and innovative solutions; yet they are both rooted in the realm of the possible. The knowledge obtained from studying engineering transfers to a career in business remarkably well.
This led me to rethink my ongoing career and to better prepare me for the world of business. With little knowledge of business and industry, I realized obtaining a Master’s degree in business would be important to accelerate my development and to start working on my family business. AURAK, through its excellent course offerings and world-class faculty, has put me on the road to success and helped me achieve my goals
Mona Barhoum
BS in Business Administration
I was there since AURAK’s inception – before the name was selected and the fence was built to prevent the goats from devouring its vegetation. I enrolled among the founding students and at its first graduation ceremony I stood holding my BS in Business Administration degree with dual majors in Marketing & International Business.
Ras Al Khaima crept its way into my heart and AURAK worked its magic in unlocking a world of opportunities along my path.
I am highly motivated, competitive and a little bit of a perfectionist! Armed with my degree, I joined the world’s leading events organiser through which I had the privilege to script multiple editions of the World Future Energy Summit in partnership with Masdar and the International Exhibition of National Security And Resilience in partnership with the UAE’s Ministry of Interior, to name a few success stories.
As a freelancer, I am a now a seasoned event professional infusing high-profile events and projects with the key to success.
Maryam Saeed AlNuaimi
BS in Electronics & Communications Engineering
Engineering was my dream, and my dream came true. I graduated with honors in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science in Electronics and Communications Engineering. It’s a challenging major, but sometimes you need challenges to make you grow better and stronger. Attending workshops and exhibitions, in addition to participating in competitions at university, had a big impact on my skills. I’m proud to have been part of the software team on the MeznSat project, the first 3U CubeSat for monitoring greenhouse gases in the UAE. I did an internship at YAHSAT Lab (Masdar Institute) and at Etisalat Group. Graduation is not the end; it’s the beginning. I got more experience on an internship at BAE Systems Applied Intelligence (Space) in the UK. It developed my personal and professional skills. Finally, always remember that education is a passport to the future, so work hard to reach your dreams.
Kamel Abuyousef
Master in Business Administration /
BS in Biotechnology
I’m a proud alumnus of AURAK. Currently, I work at a higher education institution in the United Arab Emirates where I’ve worked my way up to be Executive Assistant to the President.
I joined AURAK in its early days, back in 2013. I graduated and got my bachelor’s degree in 2017. Those four years were among the brightest of my life. During this period, I published three articles in international scientific journals with the support of faculty and their encouragement.
AURAK’s environment was motivating and supportive. This prompted me to take my MBA there and I graduated in 2020.
AURAK helped me to build my personality in different ways through mentoring, coaching and polishing my skills, all of which have helped in my career. The supportive atmosphere at AURAK was the thing that most influenced me. When I entered the university, I felt that it is like a family, and that everyone cares about each other. AURAK is where I discovered my future!
